Bridging Generations Virtual Cafe

Hello, my name is Dympna Tuohy and I am the lead for this research project. I am a registered general nurse and a lecturer in nursing at the University of Limerick. I have taught and been involved in nurse education for many years and I am particularly interested in older person nursing. I have been involved in several projects researching different aspects of ageing, all with the aim of understanding the goals, wishes and needs of older people. It is paramount for positive ageing that older people and nurses can understand each other and work together. I think this research, exploring whether discussion cafés help intergenerational learning is important and I am very much looking forward to working on this project.
