Art was once a part of the Olympic Games.

From 1912 to 1948, the Summer Olympics included competitions in various art forms like architecture, music, painting, sculpture, and literature, awarding medals for these disciplines.

These art competitions were initially conceived as a way to balance the physical and mental aspects of the Olympics, but they were later removed due to concerns about amateurism and professionalism.
