The ๐™„๐™ฃ๐™ซ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™จ project is directed by Janet Oates, who has commissioned 3 composersโ€“one each in Ireland (Evangelia Rigaki), Scotland (Lisa Robertson), and England (Janet Oates)โ€“to write new works for harpsichord, inspired by specific historical works from their respective countries. All three commissions are being premiered in the autumn of 2024 in each country by three different harpsichordists: Yonit Kosovske (Ireland), Katarzyna Kowalik (England), and Tiffany Vong (Scotland). These new compositions will be performed alongside other historical and contemporary works (primarily by women), celebrating lesser-known music by local and regional composers. The Limerick concert will also include works by Fiona Linnane, Ailรญs Nรญ Rรญain, and Meadhbh Hayes. The ๐™„๐™ฃ๐™ซ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™จ project is grateful to receive funding from: Arts Council England, Creative Scotland, Sound Festival (Scotland), The Marchus Trust, The Hope Scott Trust, Mary Cooke, and The Francis Louth Trust. Presented at the Limerick City Gallery Of Art. Tickets at: https://bit.ly/hipsterautumn24
