Style At No.5 Interiors

Most people think their home reflects the way they live.
I think our homes have a huge impact on how we feel and in turn behave every day.
They influence what we notice, what we avoid, how we feel and even the habits we build over time.
Think about it this way...
We want to have family dinners but the dining table is covered in "stuff" and we could clear it but we don't know where the "stuff" would go and anytime we have done it, its just piled up again, so why bother.
So we leave it but then we feel guilty every time we walk past the dining room so we close the door.
And every so often we think, we should really tackle that room, but something always comes up.
And it eats away at us, little by little because the kids are growing and we are missing all those family dinners.
This isn't just a design issue. It's a behavioural one.
That's why I don't start with paint colours or furniture.
I start by understanding how you want to live, work and feel in your space.
This way of thinking is at the heart of my Optimised Space Framework™ looking beyond aesthetics to understand how a space influences behaviour, wellbeing and everyday life.
Have you a space in your home that gives you that "ick" feeling?
