📍Have you discovered the EZ in Galway yet?
I popped into the outlet store in the Lisbon Industrial Estate today and honestly, there are some fantastic bargains to be had.
With discounts of up to 60% off normal retail prices, there was a huge selection of sofas, dining furniture, bedroom furniture, garden furniture, rugs, accessories and more.
This weekend only there’s an ⚡️EXTRA 10% OFF ⚡️sofas and dining furniture too.
One thing I really liked was the variety. The stock is constantly changing, with new pieces arriving every Monday, so every visit is different.
A big thank you to Shaun and Stephen who were incredibly helpful while I was there today. The customer service was excellent.

⚠️IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR
ONLINE SHOPPERS ⚠️
I’ve gone back and checked the Revenue information directly and this is what is currently being stated.
From 1 July, a new €3 Customs Duty charge will apply to goods coming into Ireland from outside the EU.
According to Revenue’s examples, this is not simply a flat €3 charge on every parcel.
For example:
Pen 🖊️ + Notebook 📒 + Keyring 🔑 = €9 Customs Duty (€3 per distinct item)
However, if a parcel contains multiple identical items, Revenue says these may be treated as one item for Customs Duty purposes.
A few important things to know:
☑️There is NO Customs Duty if the goods are already based in Ireland or another EU country when you order them.
☑️Some websites may look Irish or EU-based but the goods may actually be shipped from outside the EU.
☑️Customs Duty is generally not refundable if you return an item.
☑️VAT rules may still apply separately.
The big question many people are asking is what this means for retailers such as Shein and Temu that use European warehouses. If orders are dispatched from within the EU, these charges may not apply, but we’ll need further clarification from the retailers and Revenue.
As always, I’m sharing information as it becomes available and I’II keep updating you as more details emerge.
What do you think of these changes ???
