The beautiful Clare landscape shines in Tadhg O’Sullivan’s film The Swallow.

In a letter to an unnamed recipient, an artist (Brenda Fricker) reflects on her life in isolation. She considers her life work and its legacy after her death. Meanwhile the rising sea and unpredictable weather creates an ever changing landscape.

The Swallow is currently showing in:

Audiences and critics alike have been moved by The Swallow.

The film has been called “a beautifully understated performance” (Irish Examiner) and “a prose-poem told to us from the shifting light of the Burren” (Irish Independent).
