Radiotherapy saves lives.
In the Dáil this week, I called for an accelerated replacement programme for outdated radiotherapy machines, many of which are operating beyond their recommended lifespan.

I warmly welcome the announcement of an additional special class for Cork North Central for the 2026/27 school year. 👏📚
The new class will be provided at:
Scoil Mhuire Fatima North Monastery Primary School- An Edmund Rice School
This additional class will help provide greater educational supports for children and families locally and are a very positive step forward for inclusive education in the Northside.
I want to thank the school, staff, parents and the Department of Education for their continued engagement and commitment in delivering these much needed additional places.

Today is WORLD NO TO***CO DAY and the is focusing on unmasking the appeal - countering ****ne and ***co addiction. In Ireland smoking is a contributory factor in 5,000 deaths per annum and costs the health system over €450 million each year. The target is to reduce the numbers who are smoking to under 5% of the adult population however we are currently on 13% and appear to have stalled over last few years. Roinn Sláinte, Department of Health and HSE Ireland and all of us must work towards achieving our goal of a to***co free Ireland ***cofreegeneration
