Lughnasadh Blessings!

The festival of Lughnasa was initiated by Lugh to honour his foster mother, Goddess Tailtiu.

“White-sided Tailtiu uttered in her land a true prophesy, that so long as every prince should accept her, Erin should not be without perfect song.”

She is most associated with the ceremonial site of Taillteann (now known as Teltown) situated in the Plain of Brega, an area containing many ritual sites including Tara and Brú na Bóinne.
Teltown was a seat of power during the reign of the Tuatha De Danann.

“When the fair wood was cut down by her, roots and all, out of the ground, before the year’s end it became Bregmag, a plain blossoming with clover.”

Astronomical Lughnasadh occurs on 7th August.

The Ache of the In-Between

No one talks about this part.

The part where you haven’t yet crossed the threshold — but the old self is tearing at the seams.
Where you're not standing — you’re crawling through a battlefield.
Still expected to manage, perform, endure —
to keep showing up while it feels like you’re internally bleeding.
No true witness to the unraveling.
Just a void of echoes and false judgments swirling
until something in you breaks open and roars —
no more.

This is when you walk barefoot through nails
to reach the light at the end of the tunnel.
And you earn every damn step.
Your identity isn’t just shifting — it’s being stripped.
What once made sense now feels foreign.
And the world doesn’t pause to see the cost of becoming.
It’s the agony of being remade while still in motion.
Trying to survive the day
while your soul is shedding lifetimes.

And yet — you rise.
Even in fragments.
Even if trembling.
Even when no one sees.
Because some part of you knows:
this isn’t death —

it’s rebirth.

The pain means something sacred is waking.
And though it may not look like it now —
this ache is holy.

You're not broken.
You're becoming.

Hold on, beloved.
The threshold is near.
