One year since you left, and not a day goes by without remembering your strength. You taught me to be brave, to be loud for the truth, and to never give up on what I’ve chosen.

Beyond just surviving, you showed me how to actually walk through the storm to keep moving even when the wind is at its harshest. You taught me to shut out the noise of the world, to ignore the whispers of others, and to hold an unshakable belief in myself.

I’m still here, still breathing, and learning to stay calm long after the storm has passed. I didn’t just get through it; I’m learning to live through it with my head held high, just like you did.

Forgive your youngest son for still being a bit of a crybaby; I just miss you a lot. But don’t worry, I’ll keep our family name proud and look after Mamah and my siblings. I’m going to make all those dreams you had for me happen, one by one. Rest well, Dad. Your grit lives on in me. 🤍
