Sometimes, when I feel like I’m about to get sick, the “treatment” is surprisingly simple: a traditional coining session at night, adequate sleep, morning exercise, a good portion of protein (yes, meat), and a traditional massage.
Less than 24 hours later — fully recovered.
As an anesthesiologist, I work in a world of advanced monitoring, ventilators, and complex pharmacology.
Yet this is a reminder that rest, circulation, nutrition, and simple traditional practices still play a powerful role in recovery.
Modern medicine and traditional wisdom don’t always have to compete — sometimes they complement each other.
