Red Thread Garment
Remember our post about rethinking leftover fabrics?
We went for it.
These tote bags are made from our batik offcuts — giving those pieces a second life instead of letting them go to waste. Simple. Reusable. Made to be used again and again.
We tried it during our Nyepi prep run 🛒 and got people eyeing curiously 😎👀
What’s the difference between Batik Tjap and printed fabric?
Batik tjap is created using a hand-held copper stamp and hot wax.
Each motif is pressed manually, layer by layer, in a process that requires time, rhythm, and precision.
Printed fabric, on the other hand, is produced by applying ink directly onto the surface using modern printing technology.
They are made differently, they feel different, they serve different purposes.
One carries the character of a handcrafted process.
One offers consistency and efficiency through technology.
Neither is about being better than the other.
It simply comes down to what you need — and what story you want your fabric to tell.
Are you drawn to the rhythm of handcraft, or the clarity of modern print?
This collaboration with Bija Project is built on the same goal: preserving batik craftsmanship while pushing sustainability in Bali’s fashion scene.
By working together, we want to introduce batik to a wider audience and bring this heritage beyond borders.

Our batik is made through a slow, hands-on process.
Drawn and dyed by hand, repeated with patience, time, and intention.
Each piece is produced in small batches, allowing every detail to be carefully considered.
Produced in small batches, with care.
