Meet the Flamboyant Cuttlefish, a fav with many UW photographers. This little guy was foraging in the sand for snacks. The only cuttlefish known to be toxic, it’s capable of flashing hypnotic colors, probably as a warning sign for predators to stay away.

Juvenile Gurnard Lionfish.
A relatively uncommon species... I was fortunate to capture this small individual, about 4” in size, flaring its fins. On this dive I’d been using a snoot and was lucky to be able to effectively snoot this shot.

Always a sucker for a clown fish! Taken in the Lembeh Strait. Not a place you go with clown fish as the priority. And look at that stunning anemone!
