BME Automated Drive
05/12/2023
Milestone Alert 💡: For the first time, a real vehicle has been controlled in actual conditions on a live track using standard interfaces from a cloud-based central system. The sensors embedded in infrastructure enabled the creation of a digital twin model in a central system, utilizing data from various sensors to implement and test additional driving support or autonomous vehicle functions.
The demonstration was conducted by researchers from BME and Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH of Austria at the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Ground, as part of the EUREKA Central System project.
