2. Skills development in environmental leadership for governance, advocacy, policy engagement, and project implementation.
3. Opportunities to connect with leading conservation experts, youth networks, and environmental organizations.
Cohort 1 marks the beginning of this movement, featuring interactive capacity building sessions, mentorship opportunities, and action-oriented community engagements. This initiative further cements HATOF's commitment to engaging the youth for environmental stewardship, ensuring the next generation is ready to lead biodiversity action locally and globally.

Today is about the youth! hashtag
Localizing the SDGs is more than a policy phrase. It means adapting global goals to local realities, aligning with community needs while staying consistent with national and international commitments.
Young people are catalysts for innovation and resilience, when empowered in the process of localizing the SDGs!
With this, the 2025 International Youth Day, ( ) theme urges us to see the SDGs as milestones, not finish lines.
Aligned with the World Programme of Action for Youth ( ), this theme renews our commitment to youth agency, decision-making, and sustainable development.
By engaging youth as key partners, we can ensure translation of the SDGs and beyond into lasting locally-driven change for today, 2030, and generations to come.

🌱 Today is ! 🌍
Under the theme “Restore the Land. Unlock the Opportunities,” we reaffirm our commitment to rehabilitating degraded ecosystems critical for food security, livelihoods, climate resilience, and biodiversity.
đź’ˇ Did you know?
Every $1 invested in land restoration yields between $7–$30 in economic return—fueling green jobs and sustainable growth. Yet need is urgent: 1 million km² of productive land lost each year; 1.5 billion hectares must be restored by 2030 to halt land degradation.
✨ Let’s take action today — whether planting trees, supporting NGOs, or championing sustainable land policies. Together, we can revive the land and unleash a trillion-dollar land restoration economy.
🔑 Join the movement:
- Advocate for nature-based restoration
