Tarkwa Technical Institute is deeply grateful to Gold Fields Ghana Foundation 🇬🇭 for their generous donation of 10 brand new desktop computers to support our ICT education.

The donation was officially received on behalf of the school by the Principal, Mrs. Helen Owusu Ansah, and it marks a significant step towards improving teaching and learning through technology.

📢 Tarkwa Technical Institute Receives Support from AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine 🎉

Today, we had the honor of receiving a delegation from AngloGold Ashanti, led by the Sustainability Manager, Mr. Stephen Adjei. They visited our school to fulfill a request we made by donating five industrial sewing machines to our Fashion Department.

On behalf of the management and the entire student body, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to AngloGold Ashanti for this generous support. These machines will go a long way in enhancing practical training for our students. We assure you that they will be put to good use and well maintained.

We also take this opportunity to invite other mining companies, organizations, individuals, and stakeholders to support our school in various ways. Together, we can provide the best for our students and empower the future workforce!

📢 Parents Association Meeting at Tarkwa Technical Institute 📢

Tarkwa Technical Institute is currently holding its Parents Association Meeting at the school’s Assembly Hall, bringing together parents, school administrators, and staff to discuss key issues concerning the institution and students' development.

3️⃣ Academic Issues
4️⃣ Job Opportunities After Completion
5️⃣ Presentation by the Guidance & Counseling Unit

The meeting commenced with a warm welcome address by the Principal, who elaborated on the rules and regulations governing the school, provided insights into the state of affairs of the institution, and discussed job opportunities available for students after completion.

The Vice Principal in charge of Academics then took the stage to address academic issues, highlighting performance trends, strategies for improving students' learning experiences, and the importance of parental involvement in academic success.

The Guidance and Counseling Unit, represented by Madam Linda Yeboah and Madam Francisca Lewis, gave an in-depth presentation on the role of counseling in students' personal, academic, and career development. They emphasized:
✅ The importance of parental support in students' education
✅ Career guidance and the benefits of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
✅ Addressing student challenges such as discipline, mental health, and career planning
✅ Strategies for ensuring students remain focused and well-prepared for the job market

The session provided an opportunity for parents to ask questions, share their concerns, and collaborate with the school to ensure students receive quality education and holistic development.
