May those who have passed away rest in perfect peace and may their families find strength, comfort and hope in the midst of this painful tragedy. We pray for the swift recovery of the injured and for protection over all those who have been displaced.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the emergency responders, volunteers and organizations working tirelessly to provide relief and support. May their efforts bring comfort and hope to those in need.

As one nation, let us unite in compassion, generosity and prayer. Together, we can help rebuild lives, restore hope and remind every affected family that they are not alone.

Tamale Central wakes up today with a heavy heart, for we have lost not just a Member of Parliament, but a brother, a son, a father, and an unshakable voice for truth. Hon. Murtala Mohammed Ibrahim’s passing is a deep wound in the soul of our constituency — one that will take time, if ever, to heal.

He was a man who walked among us with humility but stood in Parliament with the courage of a lion. His words were never empty; they carried the weight of our struggles, our dreams, and our unrelenting hope for a better Tamale Central. He challenged the powerful, comforted the powerless, and gave voice to those the system too often ignored.

Murtala Mohammed Ibrahim was not afraid to be controversial if controversy meant justice, nor was he afraid to stand alone if standing alone meant standing for the truth. He carried Tamale Central in his heart and made it his mission to reflect our values, defend our interests, and fight for our rightful place in the national conversation.

Today, as we mourn, let us also be thankful. Thankful for his unwavering service. Thankful for the battles he fought on our behalf. Thankful for the legacy he leaves — a legacy of courage, honesty, and uncompromising commitment to the people.

Though he has departed from our sight, Hon. Murtala Mohammed Ibrahim will never depart from our hearts. His name will echo in the history of Tamale Central, and his work will inspire generations yet unborn.
