We find it important to provide the information regarding AI use in submitted abstracts for the upcoming medical conference. Our team uses Turnitin, a widely recognized plagiarism detection tool, to screen submitted work for plagiarism and AI. Therefore, the information below is adapted from the official guidance on ethical AI use policies.
Authors are accountable for the accuracy of the work and for ensuring that there is no plagiarism. You are responsible for verifying the output and references. You must also ensure that all sources are appropriately cited and should carefully review the work to guard against bias that may be introduced by AI. You must use AI ethically and openly, as any significant contribution from an AI should be recognized.
Please note that we always consider the false positivity factor; that's why we manage thorough and detailed analysis in the first place, without fully relying on Turnitin reports. Human judgment is always prioritized. The following guidelines are meant to help the authors in understanding the allowed and prohibited uses of AI.

On May 1, 2026, at David Tvildiani Medical University, "Obesity: Individual or System Problemโ€”Science, Society, and Solutions" was held as part of the mentorship program, organized with the assistance of SYSSA.

The sessions provided a comprehensive overview of obesity, covering its epidemiology, pathophysiology, and evolving management strategies, including pharmacological and surgical approaches. The mentorship program was clearly beneficial, and everyone involved demonstrated exceptional hard work and dedication. It was also great to see the enthusiasm around the topic, with 40 participants signing up and engaging with the event.

The practical workshop added value by exploring visceral fat and the use of waist-to-hip ratio as a simple, applicable clinical tool. The event emphasized a key message: obesity is a complex condition shaped by biological, environmental, and societal factors, requiring multifaceted solutions.
