A lot of talk about young people and not knowing what they are up too. But lets not forget that a lot of young people are in fact busy, motivated and going to be really well when they leave school/college. I was fortunate enough to work with a group of young people at the Worcester Competitive Arts Festival. Those young people were polite, friendly and hugely talented. My advice to them was pretty simple. You are young, you are talented and you look like you have a strong support network around you. In other words, don't take any of that for granted but to also allow yourself to follow your youthful heart rather than your head.

Running a lot of creative workshops at present which is both enjoyable but also presents a challenge to keep them fresh and different. I try and keep them as 'open' and welcoming as possible and allow people to talk and share ideas while at the same time making sure they stick to time.

End of my mini tour of Diary of a Badminton Player. Doing a one person show is a strange experience. Not really sure if its totally me. I always felt a bit like the singing guitar player in Paul Simon's Homeward Bound which is ridiculous as the furthest I went to was Cheltenham! Time to ponder what next for the show and with this character. x

First workshop completed at Malvern Theatres. I do love running workshops though still can't get used to being called a teacher.
