Turns out “facing your fears” looks a lot like stepping off the side of a 30-metre sculpture … 😅

This weekend, our Head of Business Development, John Dornan, did exactly that — abseiling down The Kelpies in Falkirk to raise money for Forth Valley Branch, the Armed Forces charity.

Not the obvious choice for someone who isn’t exactly a fan of heights . . . but when it’s for a cause supporting serving personnel, veterans, and their families, you find a way to get over it (eventually!).

We’re incredibly proud of John for taking the leap (literally) and for everyone who’s supported, donated, and cheered him on.

If you haven’t yet and would like to support an amazing cause, there’s still time: https://www.gofundme.com/f/heights-for-heros-kelpies-abseil

Quarterly staff meeting . . . with a QUICKBLOCK twist 🙌

Last Tuesday we brought the whole team together, not just to talk strategy and AI, but to reconnect with our “why” and spend some quality time as a team.

There was also an early celebration for Marc’s birthday 🎂

But the real highlight? Marc stepping up to cook tacos for everyone 🌮 (safe to say expectations for future meetings have now been set . . . very high).

We wrapped things up with a team hill walk up Dumyat. Fresh air, great conversations, and a reminder that the best teams are built just as much outside the meeting room as inside it.

Good people, good food, good views and not a bad way to do business. 💚

Meeting Individual Training Requirements (ITRs) in the Army isn’t just about understanding what needs to be done, it’s about having the time, space, and access to deliver training effectively.

With ranges often booked, travel time reducing training windows, and competing commitments, getting onto major training facilities isn’t always possible. Rapidly deployable, on-site training infrastructure helps bridge that gap.

QUICKBLOCK Tactical Training Kits allow units to deliver ITR-focused training directly on their own sites or training areas, reducing reliance on external locations while still providing realistic, adaptable environments.

This flexibility was recently demonstrated using the QUICKBLOCK Charlie Tactical Training Kit. Initially constructed outdoors, the structure was later dismantled, moved indoors, and rebuilt in a new configuration within a smaller footprint, creating a fresh and equally complex training environment.

By reconfiguring the same kit, new CQB scenarios were created, training variety was maintained, and Individual Training Requirements (ITRs) continued to be delivered without the need for planning permission or additional infrastructure.

BUILD.
TRAIN.
