The development of women’s and girls’ football has played a significant role in the growth of Horsforth St Margaret’s FC ⚽💙

What started with just 12 players has grown into something far bigger - now boasting 3 teams and over 60 players, with ambitions to progress towards Tier 5, supported by strong facilities and a clear vision for the future.

At the heart of it all is connection. Players from different footballing backgrounds come together to build a real community – developing not only technically on the pitch, but also as individuals off it.

“Anyone can come and train here” isn’t just a phrase - it’s the culture that defines the club.

Most importantly, the pathway from girls’ football into the women’s section gives young players something powerful: a clear route, real opportunity, and the motivation to keep progressing.

It’s people, passion, and progression that continue to drive the club forward.
