A huge well done to my lovely client Monica who after all of her hard work is finally back in her own home. 👏 ⠀
⠀
When I met Monica she was staying at for restpite following a fall where she fractured her pelvis🦴 .She needed assistance for all aspects of daily living, getting in and out of bed and even to stand up out of a chair. She could only walk a few steps with constant supervision due to severe weakness and pain. This change was particularly difficult for a lady who had been so independent and a big character in her community! ⠀
⠀
After extensive physiotherapy, over several weeks, including strengthening then higher level balance work, Monica was walking over 50m independently and even negotiating stairs. Monica felt confident enough to return home with her beloved walker “Penelope” to help to keep her safe 🙌. ⠀
⠀
Monica will be seen on an ongoing basis for continued mobility, strength and balance work for falls prevention. ✅ ⠀

A little late from me but well worthy of a post …⠀
⠀
A massive shout out to my amazing client Julie and her Husband Trevor who ran the London marathon 2 weeks ago. 🏆⠀
⠀
⠀
I met Julie a couple of months ago when her training plan was limited by a running injury which prevented her from getting her long runs in. Julie worked really hard on her rehab combining conditioning work with her progressive running plan and completed the marathon showing grit and determination throughout. ⠀
⠀
As a complete surprise to say thank you, Julie bought me the most gorgeous 💐 and blister socks for netball as she probably was tired of me saying that my feet were in pieces after every match! So thoughtful and really touched me! 🥰😢.⠀
⠀
⠀
It has been such a pleasure to be a part of so many of my clients' marathon journies, hearing all of your successes. So much so i put name in the ballot for next year 🙊

Good news for Physiotherapists! 😅
I will still be taking bookings for the next few weeks!
During this time I will continue to follow a strict screening process before appointments, whilst attending all appointments in PPE and following infection control protocols for Covid-19.
