This whole Boro / Southampton spygate situation shows what pressure can do to people.
When there’s a lot on the line, some people trust the work they’ve already done.
Others start trying to control everything around them because pressure and doubt creeps in.
That’s not just football either.
People do it in everyday life all the time.
Overthinking.
Needing reassurance.
Trying to get certainty before something important.
Real confidence comes from trusting yourself and the preparation you’ve already put in.
Pressure has a way of exposing where people are mentally.
A lot of people look “fine” on the outside while their mind is running nonstop in the background.
Overthinking.
Pressure.
Stress.
Lack of confidence.
Feeling mentally drained but still trying to hold everything together.
That’s more common than most people realise.
Sometimes people don’t need judging or telling to “just think positive”.
They need the right support, the right conversations, and practical tools that actually help.
That’s a big part of what I do.

New week. New chance to reset.
Last week doesn’t define you. Whether it was a great week, a tough week, or somewhere in between.
Athletes, business owners, parents, students - everyone faces pressure in different ways. The key isn’t being perfect all the time. It’s learning how to keep showing up when things don’t go to plan.
Confidence isn’t built by never struggling.
It’s built by proving to yourself that you can handle hard moments and keep moving forward.
So if you need a reminder this Monday morning:
- Focus on what you can control
- Don’t let overthinking take you away from the present moment
- Trust the work you’ve already put in
- One good decision at a time is enough
Keep going. Your future self will thank you for not giving up today.
