I’ve been looking at new ways of exercising whilst at home. Wood chopping and axe throwing are two that I’ve landed on 🪓

Wood splitting involves a lot of major muscles, such as your glutes and lats, and is great for shoulder and upper back mobility.

Exercise doesn’t always have to be using a barbell or treadmill. I had an old bed frame that needed scrapping, so I used the opportunity to get some physical activity in.

Hopefully I can convince puregym to get a tyre and sledgehammer so I can add this movement to circuit classes and pt sessions 😎

While it’s great to get in the gym and throw some weights around or hit some pads, sometimes it’s nice to just get outside and run.

There’s nothing more accessible, all you need is a pair of suitable shoes. You don’t need to drive anywhere fancy, your local park works fine. Plus if you can’t run much or at all, then start by speed walking and doing short intervals of running.

Couch to 5k is a widely available program to give you direction at no cost.

Maybe you’re searching for the next big idea to improve your training or weight loss, and you’ve forgotten one of the simplest, most effective forms of exercise 🏃🏻‍♂️
