This is an Artwork I created about the 60’s Anti Vietnam War Protest movement in England. Something I mostly watched as a kid on my TV. It always amazed me that the Protesters commitment and interest in the people embroiled in it ended with the War. There was no ownership of the outcomes. No responsibility. The retributions, The Boat People. Later Khmer Rouge. No protests.
Hands were washed.
Was it purely single issue, idealogical. Or the cliche response of Teenagers to having left the Party, to then leave the clearing up to someone else?
