Iāve been a bit quiet lately because Iāve been completely engrossed in this new skillā¦
Iāve always adored gemstones and geometry, and had been watching videos about faceting for years, which is where I discovered , and the courses he runs in Lyon, France. It was a bit of an adventure as Iād never been abroad on my own before, but it was absolutely invaluable as a springboard for starting to cut gems myself. Now Iāve got more gemstone rough than I have time to cut and balancing my regular work demands with my desire to cut gems is a challenge!
Iāll be sharing the gorgeous jewels that I make with my new skills going forward. š

Sometimes I can make something and I like it but it doesnāt have the finished feeling, the āclickā, a sense of correctness. Je ne sais qoi? I tweaked the shape of the āArcane ringā and now they click! Does anyone else have this thing or just me? š
