That’s a wrap on 2025! 🎞️

We’re now closed and will re-open on Monday 5th January (our physical store re-opens on the 6th).

We don’t drop feed posts very often, but we wanted to take a moment to say a genuinely huge thank you to every single one of you for making this our most exciting year yet!

As many of you know, we opened our film lab in spring to ensure Nottingham’s analogue community still had a reliable local base for developing. In just a few short months we’ve:

• Processed thousands of rolls of C-41 film through walk-ins alone, proving that our local photography community is not only thriving, but still growing and very much in need of this service.

• Built a dedicated darkroom to carefully hand-process your black and white film. Hard-launch coming in 2026 🔥

• Collaborated with grassroots groups like and long-standing institutions such as Notts County FC to produce large format exhibition-quality prints from our studio.

And we’ve got a bunch much planned for 2026 🔥

To think we started as a small online camera shop, refurbing cameras in our spare room and are now a fully-fledged bricks-and-mortar film lab, camera store and growing community hub is kind of wild 🤯

It’s an absolute privilege to do what we do. We don’t take that responsibility lightly and we’re massively grateful for your support 🙏

📢 We reckon it’s about time we introduced you to and 👋

Catherine wandered into our shop last August and we haven’t been able to get rid of her since! She’ll be helping us with social media on an ad-hoc basis and we couldn’t be happier!

Joe originally joined us back in the summer of 2023 along with as part of college work-placement scheme. As a natural tinkerer, he’s super keen to learn camera repair, even fixing up his own gear in his mini home workshop! Before heading off to Uni he’ll be assisting with some of the more routine tasks under our Repair & Refurbishment service. If your light seals got a refresh recently, that’s probably Joe’s handiwork!

Please give them a warm welcome – and if you spot their faces here or in store, be sure to show them some love! 🙌

We also want to give a massive shout out to our dear pal who volunteered so much of his time to support us over the last couple of years. And last, but not least a big thanks to for offering a helping hand in your spare time before heading off to Uni last year 🙏

LensFayre are pleased to now officially stock the pixl-latr - an innovative, yet simple solution for digitising your negatives! 

The pixl-latr is a multi-format film holder that makes it super quick and easy to get your film photos onto your computer or smart phone👌
 
Out of the box it will accept 35mm, 120 format and 4x5 film, with a multitude of other, less common, formats available through the pixl-latr website.
 
We’ve have had the pleasure of using the pixl-latr for a while now and are consistently pleased with the results, helping to produce images that we feel are equal, and in many cases superior, to most consumer grade flatbed film scanners and / or smartphone film negative scanning apps.
