TRUNK ROAD - EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE

Our Highways Team has informed us that they have had to implement an emergency road closure on the Trunk Road from the Westgate roundabout heading toward the Redcar Lackenby entrance roundabout.

This will need to remain on overnight until 11:00 am tomorrow, 2 July, to allow a replacement manhole lid to be installed.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause road users.

The product presents a serious chemical risk as it contains excessive concentrations of Dibutyl phthalate (DBP), Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), and Short Chain Chlorinated Paraffins (SCCPs). Phthalates are harmful to health and may cause damage to the reproductive system.

The product does not meet the requirements of the REACH Regulations 2008.

Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users by Primark Ltd.
