Well, if you see me this week, cut me some slack... I will be running on empty! 🤣

For the last three days, I've swapped the Phillips Hobbies uniform for a hi-vis vest, ditched the shop - and the laptop - and somehow found myself helping run a music festival as one of the organising committee members.

Didn't have it on my bingo card that I'd be standing in front of a stage watching Blazin' Squad perform to a packed crowd... but here we are! 🤣

What most people see is the music, entertainment and thousands of people enjoying themselves. What they don't see are the months of planning, organising and fundraising that happen long before the first act steps on stage.

People ask why I get involved, and honestly, the answer is quite simple: I love seeing people happy. Whether that's a family enjoying a day out, old friends catching up, or a kid walking into Phillips Hobbies and being amazed by all the stock - it's the same feeling.

This year felt particularly special. Every day was packed, the atmosphere was brilliant, and quite possibly the biggest March Summer Festival we've ever had. For a small Fenland town, in our little park, putting on a completely free event like that and seeing so many people enjoy it is pretty amazing 🥹

I'll admit, seeing Phillips Hobbies up on the big screens across the weekend gave me a bit of a smile, too.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this to life. Events like this only happen because people quietly give up countless hours of their time, entirely as volunteers, to make them happen. I'm incredibly proud to have played my part alongside such a fantastic team ❤️

Normal service resumes at Phillips Hobbies tomorrow...
..but if you mention how sunburned my face is, I reserve the right to ban you from the shop. 🤣
