Cello Ensemble London are always looking for new cellists to join our ensemble.

Cello Ensemble London is best suited to players Grade 4+ and good ensemble experience. No audition is required.

We welcome adult cellists aged 18 and over with enthusiasm and commitment, whether you are a professional, an accomplished amateur, returning to the cello after a break, or came to the instrument later in life.

We are committed to create a supportive, inclusive and respectful environment for people of any gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religion or disability.

We will be playing at the beautiful St Mary’s Church Bourne Street Sloane Square.
The church is less than 5 mins walk from tube station.
The venue is fully accessible, with step-free access and an accessible toilet.

Cello Ensemble London is a London-based ensemble for adult cello players, created for cellists who want to explore and be inspired by the distinctive warmth, depth and rich sonority of an all-cello ensemble.

We bring together cello enthusiasts of different backgrounds and experience levels to rehearse and perform, and enjoy a wide range of music written or arranged for cello ensemble.

Our aim is to create an inspiring, inclusive and non-competitive environment, where players feel supported in developing their cello playing.

Through engaging rehearsals and positive challenge, we give cellists the opportunity to collaborate and grow as ensemble players.

We believe music-making should be committed, rewarding, and fun.

We’re so pleased to be holding our rehearsals from September at the beautiful St Mary’s Church Bourne Street in Sloane Square, London.

Originally established to serve the poor of Pimlico, St Mary’s Bourne Street was built in 1874 in the Early English style using economical red brick. Its modest origins are matched by a lofty interior, quiet dignity, and beautiful acoustics, making it a striking setting where music and architecture come together.
