Is Sadness SEXY? 👙👠

When was the last time you felt sadness?
Do you sense someone else feeling sad?

Not the curated, socially acceptable version that you brush off with a schedule too busy to care kind of sad.

I’m talking about real sadness that sits quietly in your chest.… heavy, painful, making you wish you could disappear sometimes kind of sadness.....

Sadness is part of being human and we have all felt sad at some point in our lives.

Many high performers walk around carrying that exact energy of sadness (sometimes even unknowingly) while hitting their sales KPIs, leading powerful teams, smiling in boardrooms and at networking events…..

Because society cruelly judges this emotion as a weakness.

In corporate culture, sadness is p***y work so it gets rebranded as stress, fatigue, needing a break, going for another smoke, or a few drinks after work.

And the more society judges sadness, the more our world does not get better.

The sadness becomes an unprocessed emotion.

We either drown in it…… or suppress it and call it strength.

Both, equally disempowering.

“I’m fine. I’m fine (let’s bury it even deeper)”

High performers quietly burn out behind their polished deliverables because we are conditioned to see sadness as a weakness. We continue to suppress it and pretend it’s not there.

But suppression doesn’t eliminate emotion.

It delays it and often compounds it.
Sadness is an energy and energy has momentum.

So what can we do about it?

The brain is naturally conditioned to move our thoughts through negative pathways that develops whenever we have a negative incident in our life that has caused this sadness THREE TIMES more powerfully. The way to stop this feeling of sadness is to be the boss of your brain, to redirect the highways of these old thought patterns to create new positive pathways.
