We let a few weeks pass to head back to this rat job in Crayford. These rats must have had a serious case of neophobia as this was our third visit. Nevertheless, studying hours of video footage off the cameras to identify behavioural patterns to spend hours repositioning the layout of traps and baits ended up being worth it as we managed to catch the rat in a trap positioned behind a joist hidden under a crawl board. We removed him, blocked up the external access points and will be installing a drain valve.

The team went to a complete a follow up visit on a job near Portobello road in West London today, mice were originally reported in the kitchen area and the cubby loft space at the op of the stairs. On his first visit our technician laid traps and bats down in these two areas, all bait was gone on the follow up. Our team attended a call reporting rats getting into a 1st floor flat, coming from a below ground level cellar owned by someone else.

We immediately gained access to the cellar and found rat droppings across the entire area, identifying high risk areas and potential proofing work. We started a treatment in the flat, this will continue as we work out a plan with the owner to decide the best way to treat the cellar.

Drains will be inspected during our follow up.

One of the team attended a mouse call recently, finding a run of droppings in the back corner of the kitchen and identifying this hole in the wall parallel as the most likely point of access. Baits and traps were installed accordingly, he followed up this week to find all the bait taken and a mouse had been caught in a trap, for likely around a week. The client reported no more noises since the trap had gone off. Our tech will return in 2 weeks to undertake the proofing works needed to block rodent access to this property.

We’ve been treating a clients garden that’s being ravaged by foxes, this is the main burrow being used. We started by carrying out a deterrent treatment to give ourselves enough time to come in and fill all the burrows, today we went in and began proofing, we started this process by clearing the holes then layering balllast/stones under a layer of sand, cement more sand and another layer of cement to ensure the burrows are completely filled and foxes are unable to access them.
