Working together, The Global Fund aligns efforts, scales proven solutions and delivers impact in the fight against AIDS.
The partnership provides 26% of all international financing for HIV programs. Tackling barriers to HIV services, it expands community-led testing, tailors care for people living with HIV, and improves access to treatments.
Investing in the unique Global Fund partnership is one of the most effective ways to save lives, improve the health of those living in the poorest communities and reinforce global health security.
HIV: State of the Fight – results achieved in 2024 in countries where the Global Fund invests:
✅ 12.3 million people reached with HIV prevention services
✅ 25.6 million people were on lifesaving antiretroviral therapy for HIV
✅ 648,000 mothers living with HIV received medicine to keep them alive and prevent transmitting HIV to their babies in 2024.

This World Health Summit, we’ll be advocating for meaningful participation in digital governance structures like the World Health Organization Global Strategy on Digital Health.
The WHO has a key role to play in supporting national governments and digital technology companies to be accountable to human rights in the digital age.
In 2026 the WHO will revise its Global Strategy on Digital Health.
This strategy must be developed through a process that prioritises equity, participation and access for all – including the meaningful consultation of young people, marginalised communities and civil society.
