According to the UK regulations and procedures, every company has to file documents on due dates to Companies House and HMRC periodically, such as Confirmation Statement and Accounts.
If you do not complete filings on due dates, Companies House starts the dissolution process which will end striking-off (closing) your company. (Yes, we are not joking!)
The consequences of that kind of strike-off are:
- Freezing company’s bank accounts. Transferring all property and money in bank accounts to Crown.
- Penalties.
- If you do not pay penalties, this may result in banning you to set up a new company, even rejecting of Visa applications.
