Our local cinema & caffe

Look how beautiful!
This wonderful photo taken by Rod Souza makes our Grade II listed building POP.

The red-brick property has an ornate façade fronting Acton High Street and belongs to a set of historic civic buildings including the Town Hall, swimming baths and Magistrates’ Court, which is sometimes known as The Redbrick Quarter because of their distinctive appearance.

The building was gifted to the people of Acton in 1900 by Passmore Edwards. Despite its iconic appearance, status as an Asset of Community Value, history and prominent location, it has not been of any benefit to the community since it closed in 2014- until Acton Arts Project made their bid, subsequently won and the community and an army of volunteers pulled together - and the rest is history.

We are proud caretakers of the building and serve Acton residents as an independent, two-screen, community-led cinema.

Visit us, we are here for you.
