President Bola Tinubu congratulates the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, on his birthday.

🔴SAPS Exonerates Crime Intelligence Boss Dumisani Khumalo in Internal Probe🔴

The South African Police Service (SAPS) cleared the corruption-accused Lieutenant-General of any wrongdoing following an internal investigation into allegations against him. Khumalo, who faces fraud and corruption charges alongside five other senior officers, appeared in the Pretoria High Court on Friday, 22 August 2025, seeking to relax his bail conditions to return to work. In an affidavit, he stated that the probe’s outcome terminated his precautionary transfer, allowing him to resume duties without interfering with witnesses or entering Crime Intelligence premises.
