Yesterday, I had the honour of attending the Amplify: Black in Tech | EMEA event by @‌bloomberg, which is an initiative focused on highlighting and supporting Black professionals in the technology industry.

I had the pleasure of meeting and networking with so many prospects and like minded individuals with a passion for tech and the energy at the event was right inline with our mission and vision at LEVLS, where we have been working hard to provide a platform for undiscovered talent to showcase their best qualities and bring them closer to a fulfilled and long-term career.

The future is looking bright! I had a wonderful experience being able to exchange knowledge and engage in discussions on the future of tech which was insightful.

Launching LEVLS in 2022 has given us the pleasure of connecting with so many talented and ambitious young people, as well as work alongside like-minded employers and organisations who were ready to open their doors to the next generation.

The experience has been one of fulfillment for us and we wish all the young people we got to meet a Merry Christmas and all the success as they pursue their career journeys. To the organisations and employers we worked with throughout the past year, we have appreciated your support, and we wish you all a joyous Christmas!

Congratulations to the two 24-year-old English technicians, Kamil Zmich and Liam Whitby who are celebrating being among the very best in the world after bagging a bronze medal at a high tech skills final at the Worldskills Competition 2022.

Industry 4.0 is a new competition which made its debut at the multi-country international skills competition organised by WorldSkills.
It takes its name from the fourth industrial revolution covering the changes happening in technology as we seek to digitise the modern world.

“As part of Team UK, Liam and Kamil are brilliant role models for other young people and their success shows how an or can lead to great career success. We are using the insights gained from this international event to drive up training standards across the UK so that more young people and their employers can benefit.”

Timothy Armoo who is now 27 was born in Hackney and grew up in a flat with his father, a first generation immigrant. "I was a poor kid, we never had a lot of money and it put some steely determination in me."

In 2017 he founded that connects social media influencers with big brands for promotion work. Timothy has just sold the business to a larger advertising firm called for an eight-figure sum and it has been awarded the best large influencer marketing agency. These days it works with some of TikTok's biggest stars, like Rhia, from the UK, who is a toy influencer with more than 14m followers, and vlogger Bella Poarch, who has 89m followers.
