We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate learner focused Functional Skills (Maths, English, Digital Skills) Tutor to deliver high quality, supportive and engaging qualifications to candidates enrolled onto our programmes in London and surrounding areas.

You will engage and support a small caseload of learners in their setting, to achieve qualifications in a timely manner by providing meaningful teaching/learning and assessment sessions, conducting regular formal progress reviews and following the delivery guideline.

The candidate must have good understanding/experience in conducting progress reviews and be able to conduct mock testing and arranging final exams/tests.

CANDIDATE SKILLS – Functional Skills

Essential

· Experience in teaching Maths, English, ICT Functional Skills

· Experienced with conflict management and helping those who may not always be easy to reach

· Functional Skills Level 2 for Maths or English or GCSE Maths and English A-C

· Excellent communication, teamwork and organisation skills

· Experience of using e-portfolios and good IT skills

· Good organisational and engagement skills

· Managing day to day relationship with learners

· Provide monthly reports as required for timely completion of learners

· Excellent attention to detail

Qualifications – Functional Skills & Employability Tutor

· Minimum 2 years teaching experience

· Relevant QCF Assessor and Verifier qualifications – e.g., D32/A1 Assessor or CAVA

· Experience of OFSTED

· Experience of delivering work-based training

· Hold/Working towards an Education and Training qualification
