They say the best way to predict the future is to create it.
Lately, I took a hard look at my portfolio and realised I was missing a specific "vibe": authentic, lifestyle-driven couple photography. Instead of waiting for the perfect brief to land in my inbox, I decided to build it myself.
I reached out to two incredible models (one of whom I’d collaborated with before), and we spent the afternoon near Vauxhall and the River Thames. We treated it like a high-end brand commission—planning multiple outfit changes, scouting varied urban backdrops, and focusing on natural movement and direction.
The takeaway? If your portfolio is missing a chapter, go write it. Don't wait for permission to create the work you want to be hired for.
