Wellbeing Wednesday: Making the most of your weekends!
Making the most of your weekend doesn't mean that you need to be constantly busy or socialising, it means planning your time well to ensure that it will improve the quality of the week ahead. Below are some tips on how to have a more productive weekend:
Creating family traditions - This could be as simple as a Sunday afternoon walk or a nice breakfast on a Saturday - doing this can make the weekend more meaningful and boost happiness by bringing the family together.
Banish Sunday Night Blues - If you feel down on a Sunday evening at the thought of going back to work - why not plan something during this time? Such as a family meal or a gym class.
Do Something New - Boost your mood by doing something new and exciting, book this in advance so you have something to look forward to throughout the week.

As life is going back to some form of normality after the latest lockdown, it may feel as though you should say yes to every invitation from friends and family, however;
It is okay to say NO!
Lots of people are eager and excited to get back out there - do not feel under pressure to say yes, if you don't feel like it or you don't want to.
Top Tips for Saying No:
- Keep it simple, by being firm and direct. e.g. "I'm sorry but I can't help you today"
- Don't feel guilty for saying no
- Be clear and honest with yourself about what you want
- Buy yourself some time. Use phrases like "I'll get back to you", this gives you time to think about it and decide if you truly want to do it or not
