Our approach was to blur boundaries between the exhibition themes and show the intersectionality of music, history and human connections. In designing the exhibition, we placed equal importance on sound and silence; our aim was to underscore the significance of oral tradition alongside the weight of undocumented Black history. Visitors journey through a space where echoes of the past converge to enrich British culture.

Nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, Piazza is more than just a restaurant and terrace bar – it’s a distinctive space within the Royal Opera House. Our endeavour was to craft a fresh visual identity that establishes the restaurant as a welcoming destination catering to all visitors, including those not attending performances.

Today is International Women’s Day, a celebration of women’s achievements but also a reminder that the gap between men and women still exists. In these gloomy times we are going through, let’s see the glass half full. Four years ago, only 17% of UK businesses were founded by females. This year the number of UK businesses currently owned by women is 32%, it’s an incredible progress in only a few years. Let’s keep working together towards a more egalitarian world and get this unfinished business finished.
