"Promotion?" I thought. The conversation has been going on for a long time, it's definitely about promotion, or maybe some new project. But something didn't add up... he had never talked to me before...?

The reality turned out to be merciless - my role was made redundant, within one day... Yesterday I had work and stabilisation, plans and a budget, and today?
