This course is designed to bring families together through crafts and learn different skills, making a variety of crafts to take home. For children aged 7 plus and the course is completely FREE !

The sessions are fun and informal. Drop in and attend as many as you wish.

If anyone is interested we still have space at Prescot Hub for the Art and Wellbeing Project.

Every Thursday morning 10-12

We look at different artists of your choice, create a piece of art using various fine art techniques and have a good gab about positive wellbeing.

You also have the chance to have your say in PhD research about the impact general wellbeing can have whilst learing about different fine art practices.

Other areas this course is delivered is Kirkby and Halewood on different times and days.

📢 Knowsley Family and Community Education (FACE) opened its doors last month to a hub offer in Kirkby town centre, based at Unit 13, St Chad’s Parade, making adult learning and training opportunities more accessible.

✅ Over the last few weeks, the offer and learners has increased and it currently includes hosting a Teaching Assistant Job Fair, Diet and Nutrition, Certificate in Specific Learning Difficulties, Youth Work Principles, Feel good with Flowers, Functional English Skills, Functional Maths Skills, Foundations of Wellbeing, Children and Young People’s Mental Health, Kirkby Past and Present, Introduction to Mental Health, Ways to Wellbeing through Art, Family Trees, Reiki, Mixed Therapies – with the offer being regularly reviewed and updated to meet local needs.

📆 The first Teaching Assistant Job Fair took place earlier this week which included representatives from six agencies, along with Knowsley Works who support residents into training and employment. The next Teaching Assistant Job Fair will be taking place on Monday 22 June from 10am until 12.30pm – no appointment is needed, just drop in.
