Fundamentally Healthy through the ages!

This is our flagship mental health course.

Since 2020, this programme has been delivered worldwide, both online and offline, reaching thousands of people.

We have delivered it in classrooms, conference rooms, busy rooms, almost empty rooms, libraries, refuges, rehabs, youth clubs, on home visits and in community spaces.

We’ve adapted the contents to meet the needs of different demographics, age ranges and communities and with the help of translators, support staff and volunteers.

The course has been delivered by every member of FPP staff, past and present, and continues to be a key part of our groups and 121 support.

This work is always evolving and we can genuinely say that it is different every time and that’s always down to the insights from the people in the room.

Each week we look at a different aspect of mental health – wellbeing, stress, anxiety, self-esteem, goal setting, positivity and community – and we ask big questions to explore the answers.

We make room for stories and experiences and maybe offer some ideas, tools and strategies along the way.

The course is specifically designed so that you can attend as and when you need to, jumping off and on when suits. It’s free, everybody is welcome and all you have to do is turn up on the day.

We are currently delivering this at our FPP Hub on Lodge Lane, every Wednesday 10-12.

Last week we are explored confidence and self esteem and this week we’re looking at positivity.

You are very welcome to join us!

Get in touch if you have any questions and have a look at our website for loads more information about these sessions and everything else we have going on.

Fit & Focused was designed to give people the tools to navigate a gym but it was also designed to create the opportunities for people to get involved and support each other – both in and out of the gym.

We wanted to show people that while exercise is important, it doesn’t have to be about just fitness.

It’s about connection, doing something for yourself but with others, and about being a part of something. The little interactions, the bits outside the gym, the support and the friendships made along the way are just as important for mental health as training is.

We’re building more than muscle; we’re building a community.

Mondays 10-11 then coffee afterwards between 11-12.

This is a completely free offering and anyone is welcome regardless of age or experience.

It is the only session that you need to book so please get in touch if you would like to know more or sign up!

Community is a mental health intervention.

We like to think we’ve got something for everyone and all of our sessions are informed and inspired by the people that come to them.

We don’t tell you what you need, we ask you what you’d like and together we go from there.

One step at a time, we’re with you all the way.
