A bit of a different post today.
We all have had to find different ways to cope, some knit, others paint, play sport, join a club etc etc.
Well for the yarn users...please support my Daughter-in-Law's local small business. Her own special collections, hand dyed by her with love. She found a way to cope ...
So can you....

"My Great British Summer collection in all its glory. πŸŒˆβ˜€οΈ

From seaside postcards and 99 Flakes to Wimbledon strawberries and a Pride-inspired rainbow, this collection has been such a joy to create.

A few months ago KangaSheep & Co was just an idea. Seeing all of these colourways together makes me incredibly proud of how far it's come already.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my little yarn business so far. Every like, comment, share and order means the world. πŸ’œπŸ¦˜πŸ‘"

Which is your favourite?

Navigating Grief Together is a peer-led bereavement support group, which means it's a place where you'll find people who truly understand the journey of grief because they're walking it too.

Alongside our two regular weekly gatherings, we also organise social events for anyone who would like to come along. These get-togethers give us the opportunity to spend time with people we've grown to trust, without judgment, awkwardness or feeling like we have to explain ourselves. For many, they provide a gentle way of getting out of the house, reconnecting with the world around us, and spending time in the company of people who simply understand. There is never any pressure to be anything other than yourself.

Recently, some of us (17 to be exact) enjoyed a wonderful evening at The Wellington Inn in Darley, and a lovely time was had by all. Grief doesn't mean we have to stop living, and it's okay for moments of laughter, conversation and companionship to sit alongside the sadness. In this environment, everyone feels able to be completely natural, whether that's smiling, talking about the person they've lost, or simply enjoying being in good company.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us.

We can thoroughly recommend The Wellington Inn. It was our first visit, and we were so impressed. The food was superb, the service was outstanding, the prices were very reasonable, and the beautiful setting overlooking Nidderdale made it even more special.

If you're part of Navigating Grief Together but haven't yet been to one of our social events, we'd love to welcome you. You're also very welcome to come along to our social events even if you haven't yet attended one of our weekly gatherings.

And if you've been thinking about joining one of our regular bereavement support meetings, we'd be delighted to see some new faces. You'll always receive a warm, understanding welcome.

URGENT ADMIN POST...CANCELLED

After much thought, I have made the difficult decision to cancel today's Navigating Grief Together meeting due to the extreme weather.

Unfortunately, our meeting room does not have air conditioning and is likely to become unbearably warm. I don't want anyone to feel unwell or have a "funny turn" trying to get to the group or while attending.

I know how important our time together is, and I never take the decision to cancel lightly. However, I feel it is the safest option for everyone.

If you are struggling today and feel you need some support, please do get in touch with me. If there is enough interest, I will do my best to arrange a small alternative meet-up in an air-conditioned venue.

Please stay safe, keep cool, and look after yourselves. πŸ’›
