~ The Conflict Poppies ~
The Conflict Poppies are growing strong outside my art studio.
These have been grown from the seeds I harvested from the original ones I grew in a mix of all the differing conflict earths and sands from the collection a few years ago.
Once again where I can I will collect the petals once they have flowered and press and dry them and also the stalks, the seeds where I can will be harvested to be able to grow again.
I will hope to create some more artwork with them in future which is both meaningful and informative.

This is decorated with the earth from Afghanistan and has been gifted by someone to their partner in memory of a colleague who was killed whilst conducting counter IED tasks with 11 EOD Regiment.
