Ride On - Cycling For all

Snapshots from a busy Summer at the workshop 🚲☀️!

Our volunteers have been getting stuck in as usual, with new signage installed and the yard getting a green makeover (not pictured - veg/tomatoes and even a small hazel tree!). Amongst it all we also had a social ride up at Haldon with a good mix of old and new faces.. to be repeated for sure!

Joy Rides: today's ride is postponed 🚴
Today's first Joy Ride is postponed, I'm afraid — we're pushing it back to make sure as many people as possible can join in so we need a bit more time to spread the word. Just flagging this in case anyone was planning to turn up today without booking.
The first Joy Ride will now be Saturday 18th July — a relaxed ride to beautiful Topsham.
Grab a friend, bring your bike (or borrow one from us — just ask!), and join us on the 18th instead or any of the other rides..

Joy Rides - Ride Cycling for all Joy Rides are relaxed, social bike rides for anyone who wants to get out on two wheels. Each ride is led by one of our friendly, trained ride leaders. The routes are designed to be easy and mostly traffic-free routes around Exeter Quay and the Exe estuary. Rides last around two hours, including the....

Introducing Jason — a Ride On regular!

Jason joined as a volunteer in 2020 and has been part of the community ever since, volunteering regularly and making the most of our Bring Your Own Bike nights.
"I come here to work on bikes and catch up with friends and volunteers. It's a welcoming place to be."

Jason's current bike came from Ride On, and he's been putting his growing skills to good use maintaining and customising it.

"I use my bike to get me around pretty much everywhere — it means I'm independent and don't need to get a lift everywhere. I've learnt how to fix my bike, and I really like personalising and customising it with pens and some of Ride On's second hand parts."
