Photos from Exeter Chromatic's post 02/01/2023

After a holiday filled with various family members having COVID my time off over was sadly rather quiet. However today we finally got out to Froggintor Quarry (inspired by a video from who had been up there to photograph a little while ago). Admittedly we didn't make it to the quarry but just a walk along the track gave us enough.

We were incredibly fortunate to inherit a from my late father-in-law who passed away nearly four years ago. Because of a complicated family situation, we've only just been able to get our hands on it in recent months.

My FIL had trained as a photographer in the sixties. He took photos of industrial machinery and merchant ships in Liverpool before he moved down to Devon nearly fifty years ago. Sadly photography got shelved, but before he stopped complete he photographed weddings before the era of digital cameras, and this was what he used.

Not much of his work survives, just a few boxes with a pile of old photos, some glass negatives and rolls of , in a dusty box that I fished out of his garage before the house clearers moved in. But, all hoping there is nothing majorly wrong, I hope this camera will see more life in 2023 and some new adventures. It's nearly fifty years old, so hoping this might be a new era for it.

Now to get the negatives developed, fingers crossed the results won't suck too bad!

Thanks to for taking me through it and loading up the film 🤩
