Over the years my classic merino yellow kids Pom-pom hat has been a bestseller. Just had to make another one. Pom-poms always vary making each hat that little bit special. This one is now at my stall at the Winter in the West End Christmas Market, Edinburgh. Organised by The market is here until 21st December. Fingers crossed for the weather too, praying for the wind gods today that by tomorrow morning they will have had their party and the market can be fully open.

This weekend I am back as a pop-up artist for whole three days!!! That’s from Friday 28th till Sunday the 30th November during and Leith Makers is part of it with open studios on Saturday, venue number 17 on the map. I’ll fill the centre of the shop with my colourful hand-knitted natural woolly wears: hats, fingerless gloves, mittens, head-bands, which would make perfect christmas presents, which would keep anyone warm in the cold weather. I actually have not counted all the pop-ups I have done over the two years at Leith Makers, but there has been few. I love doing the pop-ups at Leith Makers because it’s not only my own stuff I feature and sell in the day but also all the other fabulous makers connected to Leith Makers, many of whom I know personally and it’s always great to connect with the locals and other makers. I hope we’ll all have a good weekend.

One of the best things doing craft markets is the wonderful work of all the makers and the little finds you can’t resist to take home with you. Today I came home from the Newbattle Abbey Christmas Market with a ‘new girlfriend’ Shameless hussie from She is challenging the campus cuties tonight in my living room, full of attitude ;-). Woman power rocks!!!!
