If your workers are ever on top of your LCVs (whether loading or as a working platform) as an employer THEIR Safety had better be top of YOUR agenda.

Pride may come before a fall, but what comes after doesn't bear thinking about - Injury, lost time, enforcement action, fines, HSE FFI costs, and worst of all, potentially having to break the news to an employee's family that they are not coming home.

It's not worth the risk. Is it?

A wee trip to A&E with number 2 son the other evening (He's fine, nothing serious) and I couldn't help noticing that if your van doesn't have VEPS, you might just see something very similar to stop you having another fall, this time after your trip in an ambulance.

Great to be invited to talk about Work at Height / Falls from Vehicles at the HSE / Working Well Together SHAD at West Lothian College today. 130+ Apprentices, lots of great feedback, couple of mentions of Dragons den and a wee photo shoot on the way home. All good!
