All our full day wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session because we feel if you’re going to be spending one of the most important days of your life with someone you should at least know them a little.
I love meeting people, although I didn’t always. When I was younger I was what you’d call a bit introverted and shy, but as I’ve gotten older and spent more time immersed in other people’s lives photographing weddings and family shoots I’ve found that I love chatting to people and finding out what makes them tick. How’d they get together. What’s their story.
The time we spend together on your engagement shoot means on the wedding day we aren’t strangers. I’m not walking into a house asking ‘who’s the bride?’ because we’ve already met. I already know what side you prefer to be standing on, what sort of poses suit you guys, and what level of ‘touchy feely’ are you comfortable with.
It means we can hit the ground running and you can settle into the day with me moving around in the background not as an outsider but as someone you can chat to and have a laugh with.
God knows there enough to be worrying about on a wedding day, so it’s our way of helping alleviate a little bit of stress while giving you some gorgeous photos to get you in the mood for the big day ahead.

You know that awkward time between dinner ending and the bank kicking off? That’s when we try to get guest portraits of as many people at the wedding as possible. Not everyone is keen, but for the most part people are usually up for it…especially after they’ve had a few drinks and are relaxed ready for a night partying.
If you’ve gone to the effort of getting dressed, getting your hair and make up done, and are away from the kids for the evening you should mark the occasion surely!
For the bride and groom it’s a great way to send their guests a keepsake from the day, as well as having a record of their nearest and dearest.
It’s a little bit of work at our end but the photos are only going to become more valuable in time so it’s worth it in our book.
